The eighth centenary of the birth of Alfonso X El Sabio will be very present in the entire program of the Ancient Music Festival of Molina de Segura (Momua), in which international experts will meet from November 13 to 28. This was announced this Wednesday by the mayor of Molina de Segura, Eliseo García Cantó, and the co-director of the festival, the musicologist María Ángeles Zapata, along with Santiago Delgado Martínez, secretary of the Alfonso X el Sabio Royal Academy, where the ceremony took place. presentation of the festival.

Both in the concert of Emilio Villalba, Sara Marina and Ivo Blanek with the Cantigas del Alcázar, which will take place next Saturday at 8:30 p.m., and through the course of analysis of the iconography, aesthetics and interpretive practice of the percussion of the period, which Massimiliano Dragoni will teach on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21, musical practice in the time of the Wise King will form a fundamental part of all Momua’s programming. In addition, the program also highlights the courses given by Marcello Mazzetti and Livio Ticli from Palma Choralis Research, on music from the Italian Cinquecento or the return of Samir Suez with his course on music from the 16th century.

Directed by Mª Ángeles Zapata and the violinist Lorenzo Cutillas, the festival will be held at the Museo del Enclave de la Muralla (MUDEM), a cultural museum space created with the aim of protecting and disseminating the remains of the Molina wall rescued in 2004.
